Negging (The original term for false disqualifier) was coined by one of the more popular original pickup artists, Mystery, back in the mid 2000s. Since then, negging has fallen by the wayside, as it became the target of many in the feminist movement; denouncing it as everything from a form of dark psychological manipulation to outright misogyny. Mystery himself was forced to change the name of the term from ‘neg’ to ‘false disqualifier’ shortly after the book The Game was published in 2005.
Big name PUA coaches have sought to distance themselves from these, so called, nefarious tactics that were purportedly being used by men who “insulted women to get in their panties.” The mainstream media and even PUAs in the field mistook the term ‘neg’ to mean an outright insult to attract women; something akin to, “Your shoes suck, bitch, let’s fuck.”
The truth is that women false disqualify each other all the time and see it as perfectly acceptable within their gender. They use it from the time they are little girls as a means to establish a social hierarchy. As soon as men discovered this mode of jest, it became off limits and despicable by the status quo. Whether you see it as a shallow manipulative tactic, or as a viable courtship strategy, there is no doubt that it works extremely well, particularly on those females at the top of the sexual marketplace, yes those 9’s and 10’s.
In the early days of negging, it was recommended that one maintain a serious tone, one that did not reveal any reaction seeking motive. The thinking, at the time, was that it had to appear sincere so that she would believe that she hadn’t yet won you over. This aspect is the main reason the feminist media demonized it as manipulative.
Since then, false disqualifying has been extensively field tested, tweaked, and has evolved into a more ‘progressive’ concept. False disqualifiers can now be delivered in several ways, one being an invitation to a verbal dance or sparring match, where the opponent sees the game and wants to play. In this type of false disqualifier, the recipient is made aware that you are coming at her in a playful, teasing mode, or as the English say, “tongue in cheek.” Your facial expressions, vocal tonality, and body language, all convey this smugness. As I instruct in the following chapters, false disqualifiers are usually not to be delivered in a mean spirited way, always balancing teases with compliments, and never mocking the target’s innate qualities.
It is my contention, that the false disqualifier, especially in it’s new, more socially acceptable forms, is making a comeback. As such, this book is was written as a guide on how to construct, practice, and deliver effective modern false disqualifiers. When they hit correctly, false disqualifiers instantly unlock the doors to attraction, the first step in seduction, where most guys stall out. Another benefit is that it puts you above her orbiters (the yes men who follow her around like puppy dogs but only serve to stroke her ego). It also challenges her to a frame battle, which buys you time in the interaction to get her closer to the “hook point”, where she becomes emotionally invested in the interaction. But best of all, false disqualifiers make it possible for you to seduce the most coveted girls on the planet; the untouchable 9s and 10s (8s and 9s for those of you who believe that 10s don’t exist in real life).
